In some cases of pregnancy, the pregnant woman may start bleed at 12^th week. This may be as a result of miscarriage or threatened abortion. Bleeding in pregnancy may be assign of abnormality in the pregnancy due to various factors.

Some women even continue to menstruate during the early stage of pregnancy, while some will menstruate even to the last day of the pregnancy. In which ever way there must be a cause for this abnormality in pregnancy.

                          CAUSES OF BLEEDING IN PREGNANCY

 

1.     DECIDUAL  BLEEDING:- This is a situation where there is a little drop of blood around the period of the missed period.  In some cases the bleeding is a little more than normal menstrual bleeding. This could be as a result of threatened abortion Suggested Control:     

                                                                (a)  A light diet with wheat- germ oil,

                                                               (b) You can lay down on your back for some hours to put the  bleeding  under control.

                                                                (c)  Take things easy generally, maybe take a leave from your office to get enough rest, or go spend some time with a relation in a order to rest properly. But remember to see your medical attendant in case of serious bleeding.

 

 

2.     CERVICAL CAUSES:- Chronic cervicitis and polypi may cause slight loss of blood during pregnancy. Get a medical attention immediately.

 

 

3.     Abortions:- This means the termination of pregnancy before the 16^th week. Abortions could be spontaneous or induced. In the case of induced abortion, maybe you willingly take some kind of medication to terminate the pregnancy or taking something that are harmful to your conditions.

 

Spontaneous abortion can be described as a situation where the pregnant woman wants to keep the pregnancy yet, she is bleeding which can lead to aborting of the pregnancy.

 

4.  ECTOPIC PREGNANCY:-  This is a condition whereby the fetus is developing outside the uterus. The pregnancy could be developing in the fallopian tube. But ectopic pregnancy generally is really dangerous. The best solution to ectopic pregnancy is by terminating the pregnancy. Seek for a medical help.
