"Stop talking nonsense! Mash isn't a tool!"

"No! Mash isn't a tool! She's a living, breathing human being!"

Ritsuka fought back with everything he had, his face turning red all the way to his neck. Deep down, he likely knew the answer, but he refused to believe the cold reality.

The same heavy atmosphere hung over Chaldea. Romani, Da Vinci, and the rest of the staff fell silent. The words were painful and piercing, but they were facts. As a Homunculus produced by Chaldea, Mash was technically their property.

Mash herself lowered her head in silence. She was kind and innocent, but she wasn't stupid. Chaldea had raised her with positive, proactive thoughts, filling her heart with light. But through every Singularity, her experiences had forced her to grow. While she remained cheerful, she had begun to touch the darker sides of humanity. There were simply things she chose not to think about, because thinking too deeply leads to doubt.

Ritsuka stammered, unable to finish a single coherent sentence. Akira lost interest in him. It had nothing to do with him anyway.

Silence reclaimed the Ziggurat's hall.

"Shin Akira, there is one thing this King wishes to ask. You may refuse to answer."

"Go ahead."

"If I haven't guessed wrongly, our Mother has fully awakened by now, hasn't she?"

"Yes. Mother has awakened and has obtained the Holy Grail. She has risen completely."

"How troublesome. Nothing is ready, yet the end of the world has begun."

"No, this isn't the end of the world."

"Hm?"

"Exactly what I said. This world will not be destroyed, and Mother will not be exiled again. The wheels of fate are turning slowly."

The two exchanged a smirk. Akira held a level of respect for the Wise King, while Gilgamesh found satisfaction in Akira's sheer arrogance and confidence. After glancing around one last time, Akira's gaze returned to Mash.

"I will."

Mash nodded. She truly intended to cherish the time she had left.

Then, Akira's body began to break apart, dissolving into primordial dark Mana that flowed back into Mash. In that instant, Mash felt the weight of the contract she had signed. It was set in stone; anyone who broke it would face massive consequences. For Mash, her power now exceeded her own imagination, but as she merged with the Commandment of Love, her body drifted closer to the darkness.

She had no doubt that if she tried to defy the contract, she would die.

Meanwhile, out on the sea, the overflowing Chaos Tide looked like a black wave ready to swallow the planet, striving to consume the entire world.

Slowly opening her eyes, the Mother had begun to move. From within the ocean, a massive number of Lahmu were being born, swarming toward their Mother.

"Onii-chan, what should we do? Mother's condition is very poor right now."

"Don't worry. Leave Mother to me."

"Alright, I understand."
