Chapter 436 - 400: Aurora Sinclair Has Grown Stronger Again
Chapter 436 - 400: Aurora Sinclair Has Grown Stronger Again
Aurora Sinclair’s eyes narrowed slightly. This was Max, the coach of the GOI Team, the one Lockwood had shown them.
He was the man who had been ranked number one in the international PVP arena sixteen years ago, and the one her Morgan wanted to defeat.
Alvin Morgan’s lips curled into a smile as he extended his right hand. "Hello, Mage Max. I’m White."
Max also extended his right hand. "Hello. Please go easy on us in this competition."
Alvin Morgan chuckled. "I’m actually looking forward to a match against you."
Max smiled as well, then beckoned to a young man behind him. "This is my nephew, Hook. He’ll be the one facing you."
The young man wore an arrogant expression. He sized up Alvin Morgan and let out a soft snort.
The expressions of the DAF Team members darkened. Compared to the GOI Team, which was composed entirely of young kids, the DAF players were generally older, with the exception of their Swordsman, Cloudpiercer.
This had led many international teams to ridicule Veridia’s DAF Team as a "senior citizens’ tour group."
Just then, Aurora Sinclair took a step forward, politely extending her right hand. "I’ll face you on behalf of Divine Whitlock. Let’s have a good match!"
When Hook saw that his opponent was a woman, he couldn’t help but do a double-take. "Master Rory?" he asked, confused.
Her moniker was a direct translation from Veridian, where the honorific literally meant ’Grandpa’.
To his surprise, Aurora replied in the perfect international standard, "That’s me. Grandpa."
The GOI players’ faces froze. Alice, the Mage and an old acquaintance, immediately blurted out, "You’re too rude!"
Only then did Aurora Sinclair seem to notice her. With a deadpan expression, she turned to Faye Hughes and asked, "Have I seen her somewhere before?"
Faye Hughes immediately played along. "Master Rory, you don’t remember? On the beach, you dueled her one-on-one and beat her so badly she cried..."
"Oh." Aurora Sinclair turned back, speaking in perfect international standard. "Hello! I’m sorry for making you cry last time. I’ll go easier on you this time."
Alice’s face instantly flushed crimson at her words, and she was left speechless.
She had never told the rest of her team about her PK match against Master Rory in Veridia.
Max’s expression immediately darkened. He shot Alice a glare and said stiffly, "We have training to get back to. We’ll see you in the arena."
"See you in the arena," White replied with a nod.
"Master Rory, you’re a badass!" a young DAF member burst out laughing before the other team was even out of earshot.
The GOI players were so furious they looked ready to turn back and fight DAF right then and there, but Max barked at them to keep moving.
Once they returned to their hotel, Max immediately called Elias Lennox. "We ran into DAF today. Are you sure you’re not going to compete?"
Elias Lennox watched the monitor in front of him, swirling the red wine in his glass. He chuckled. "No. If I participate, I might not make it out alive."
Suddenly, the girl on the monitor looked up, her gaze meeting his. Her cold, clear eyes seemed to pierce right through the camera lens and see him.
Elias Lennox felt his heart skip a beat, and his breath caught in his throat.
At that exact moment, Alvin Morgan noticed Aurora Sinclair had stopped walking. She was looking back at a security camera on the wall, prompting him to ask in confusion.
"What’s wrong?"
Aurora Sinclair shook her head and kept walking, but the fingers of the hand behind her back flexed twice.
Not long after they left, the entire security camera shattered.
Someone hidden in a corner, monitoring them, paled in shock and immediately sent a text message:
[Master, Aurora Sinclair has gotten stronger again.]
Elias Lennox stared at the screen, now filled with static, and replied impassively, "Don’t get too close to her."

The schedule for the Global Championship was tight, with almost every team playing a match every two days.
Under the leadership of Aurora Sinclair and Alvin Morgan, DAF seemed invincible.
They even faced the GOI Team earlier than expected in the quarterfinals.
Just as Elias Lennox had predicted, GOI was no match for those two. They lost two individual matches, and in the team match, they were completely wiped out.
Max’s nephew was the first to fall in the team match, knocked to the ground by a combo from Master Rory.
It was worth noting that Max’s nephew was also using a gaming pod. Although the pain sensitivity was lowered, Aurora Sinclair showed no mercy, targeting all the most vulnerable parts of the human body and inflicting immense psychological trauma on him.
He was the first player to be carried away by a Martial Healer after exiting the gaming pod, so terrified that he had even wet himself.
On the sidelines, Max felt his cheeks burn with shame.
Next was Alice. Aurora Sinclair actually went easy on her, merely knocking her out of the match with a combo that took less than thirty seconds.
This greatly displeased the tycoon sponsoring the entire tournament, Alice’s father, Borken. He immediately sent someone to the referees to accuse Master Rory of taking performance-enhancing drugs before the match.
He demanded the referees halt the match immediately and conduct a physical examination of Master Rory.
The match was forced to a halt.
All the players exited their pods, preparing to undergo the physical examination.
The Veridian fans watching in the audience were furious, cursing the organizers for the blatant corruption.
Standing with the GOI Team, Alice wore a smug smile, but it quickly froze on her face.
The referees had rejected her father’s request, stating that there was nothing wrong with Master Rory’s physical condition.
The gaming pods provided to the organizers by the Morgan Family were equipped with a function to monitor the players’ various biometrics. If someone took performance-enhancing drugs, these numbers would show sharp spikes, but Master Rory’s readings had been completely stable from start to finish.
Aurora Sinclair glanced back at Alvin Morgan and asked softly, "You predicted this?"
Alvin Morgan stroked her hair and smiled. "Better to take precautions. You can’t be too careful with some people."
Aurora Sinclair nodded.
The match resumed.
As expected, DAF easily won the match, directly knocking the GOI Team out of the tournament.
The tycoon Borken was so angry he went to find a referee he knew to ask about the situation.
That referee revealed the monitoring function of the gaming pods and added a word of warning, "Mr. Borken, all five major referees from the International Martial Alliance are present this time. We went to them for instructions..."
Borken’s heart tightened, and he was forced to suppress his intentions.
The GOI Team’s unprecedented failure to even reach the semifinals was a massive upset, causing fans watching the global championship livestream to start threads everywhere, questioning the team’s true strength.
[Did GOI’s players get replaced or something?]
[They’re so weak, I’m starting to think the previous matches I watched were just an illusion.]
[Back in the Veridian tournament, DAF didn’t beat PL this easily. So why does PL lose to GOI every year? Makes you think...]
[I heard that Alice from GOI, her dad is one of the tycoon sponsors of the tournament!]
[HOLY SHIT, you think GOI didn’t pay enough sponsorship money this year?]
...
The GOI Team’s reputation plummeted, and they were flamed into oblivion by haters.
Meanwhile, DAF emerged as a dark horse, and in their first-ever international tournament, they stormed their way directly toward the global championship title.
The five major referees, who were watching the match, all wore different expressions.
Vincent Lawson was the first to speak, chuckling. "I’m giving my spot for this year to her. None of you better try to fight me for it..."
