Chapter 166: Even Pets Have to Work
Chapter 166: Even Pets Have to Work
"Why is Xue’Er here?"
Lynn walked over with Gugi, snatched the small fish from it, and fed it into the cat’s mouth.
Having the snack taken right out of its mouth, the snow eagle felt aggrieved but didn’t dare to get angry, because the one who took its food was the Miracle Saint Emperor, a fearsome figure even the Demon King wouldn’t dare to cross, not someone a mere snow eagle could provoke.
"Cleia and the others are too busy and don’t have time to take care of her, so they had to foster Xue’Er at the imperial palace. Since I came to your house today to get closer to my sisters, I brought her along."
Natasha said as she stroked Xue’Er’s snowy feathers to comfort it. It was all her fault for being in such a hurry when leaving that she forgot to bring Xue’Er’s food; otherwise, it wouldn’t have had to compete with the cat for food and offend the emperor’s cat.
"Give it some raw beef to eat; this dried fish is Gugi and Xiaohua’s snack. If you feed it to the bird, they won’t be happy."
Lynn patted the indignant Gugi on his shoulder. For Gugi, eating is a matter more important than anything else; being teased or bothered usually wouldn’t upset him, but stealing his food—well, that’s when the tiger shows its claws!
"Indeed, just now Gugi and Xiaohua teamed up and fought Xue’Er, causing it to lose a few feathers. Xiaohua even said the big bird got hurt and asked me to rub some cooking wine on it."
Natasha parted Xue’Er’s thick feathers to show Lynn, revealing a spot that indeed looked a bit bald. It must have been Gugi and Xiaohua’s doing, plucking so many of the eagle’s feathers.
Xue’Er probably didn’t take it seriously since it was eating their food. Otherwise, as a magical beast, not an ordinary raptor, Gugi and Xiaohua’s cat punches wouldn’t be able to harm it.
"Make sure to watch out next time. Gugi and Xiaohua have been neutered, and the only joy left in their lives is eating, so don’t steal their food."
Lynn said as he picked up the plump orange tabby from his shoulder and let it find Xiaohua to play with. As for Xue’Er, it’s not officially their pet yet, so they could casually feed it a little bit.
"Alright, alright, Gugi, you go to the kitchen and fetch a piece of meat for Xue’Er. I have things to do."
Hearing Lynn’s words, Natasha nodded repeatedly, then nabbed the trying-to-sneak-away Gugi. She finally got a chance to be alone with Lynn, so she had no time to feed a bird and pushed the task onto the cat instead.
Me feed the big bird?
Gugi pointed to itself with a paw, looking utterly bewildered.
Do pets still have to work? Wasn’t it supposed to just live off its cuteness?
"Now both you and Xue’Er are a bit redundant, can’t you see?"
Natasha shot a glance at Gugi, scaring the orange tabby so much that its fur nearly stood on end.
Though usually, she didn’t seem intimidating, when she seriously unleashed her draconic might, her suppressive power over small animals was truly formidable.
"Meow~~"
"Gugi!"
The cat and the eagle scurried away disgruntled. To keep pace with Gugi, the snow eagle forgot it could fly and chased after like a grounded chicken.
Once the cat and the snow eagle were gone, Natasha beamed brightly and dashed forward, snuggling into Lynn’s embrace with all her might.
"Lord Lynn, I’ve missed you so much."
Natasha clung to Lynn as if afraid he would run away. For a matured dragon, restraining their desires wasn’t any easier than for an enchanting demon, so whenever Natasha faced Lynn, as long as she could get a chance, she would want to get close.
Now was a great time; annoying Helena wasn’t around, everyone else was busy in the kitchen, and the two little ones had no idea where they wandered off to, but it didn’t matter—they wouldn’t compete with her for kisses.
"It hasn’t been that long since we last met, has it?"
Being hugged so tightly by Natasha, Lynn gently stroked her hair, letting her rest her head on his shoulder.
"Even one day without seeing you makes me miss you so much. You could at least mate with me; if Natasha laid eggs, then she wouldn’t cling to you like this."
Lying on Lynn’s shoulder, Natasha turned her head to plant a gentle kiss on his cheek, then whispered in slightly hurt tones. He obviously knew how dragons were, yet he kept leading her on—it was truly mean of him.
"No way, Natasha’s a concubine, she can’t have the firstborn son or daughter. You have to wait until the others have theirs first, and then it’ll be your turn."
Lynn lightly patted Natasha on the back, purposely saying so.
"Then we can hold off on laying eggs, just do what we love to do."
Whether or not she was a concubine didn’t matter to Natasha; the truth was that she didn’t really care about having eggs or not; she merely wanted to mate with Lynn, with a purely simple aim.
"Then you’ll still need to wait a bit, at least after Vivian and Xiya."
Natasha didn’t want status but substance, which Lynn wasn’t incapable of providing her, but having only just won over his rightful wives, how could he let Natasha cut in line?
"Then I want to be the third!"
Natasha pushed against Lynn’s chest, showing him a ’three’ with her fingers. She knew she was a given, not ranking above the rightful wives in Lynn’s heart, but her enthusiasm and initiative were hard to match, certainly worth aspiring for the top five, if not the top three!
"Alright, alright, I’m just teasing you. Of course, you won’t be left out. No need to rush."
Lynn said while cupping Natasha’s face and leaning down to kiss her heavily on the lips with a sound, finally coaxing a bright smile from her.
"Kiss me some more, kiss me some more. If we can’t do it, then let’s at least have more kisses."
Natasha, after all, was from the Dragon Race, and an adult dragon at that. In human form, she was taller than most girls, and didn’t need to tip-toe much to kiss Lynn, not that it was a forceful kiss, Lynn surely was more than willing.
After all, she was a fragrant and sweet beauty, definitely a top beauty among the entire Dragon Race.
"Natasha, how could you let Gugi... Ah! Please continue, I didn’t see anything!"
At that moment, Vivian ran out from the kitchen with an apron on, followed by the smug-faced fat orange cat, Gugi, prancing along happily behind her.
But just as its owner intended to speak up for it, seeing the embrace and kiss between one person and dragon outside, Vivian herself blushed vividly.
Although she and Lynn had done much more intimate things, catching him kissing someone else made Vivian’s face redden anyhow.
Since Vivian claimed to see nothing, Natasha wasn’t shy about continuing, and Lynn, having just savored the sweet taste, reckoned Vivian wasn’t considered "others," and decided to carry on as well.
Thus, Gugi, having fetched reinforcements, sulked back to the kitchen; outside, the entangled couple was still fervently engaged, and Gugi the King could only sigh, obediently fetching meat to feed the bird.
